I do a lot of everything across many city departments whether it's managing staff or projects. This has continued to help me adapt to different roles in city management.

What are the key skills that make you successful in your position?

Initiative, integrity, effective communication, detailed planning, and creative problem solving have led me to become successful throughout my career. I continue to utilize these skills in my current position which continues to help my professional growth. The combination of these skills has also helped develop other skills and qualities preparing myself for city management.

What has been your biggest professional achievement?

My biggest professional achievement thus far is receiving the Local Government Excellence Award from the International City/County Management Association early on in my career.
